Overview
Sukamade turtle beach
Sukamade beach is one of the most interesting tour attractions in the area of intensive use zones of Meru Betiri National Park (TNMB). Located approximately 97 km to the southwest of the city of Banyuwangi, precisely within the territory of Sukamade Hamlet, at Sarongan Village, Pesanggrahan district, Banyuwangi regency. The beach is truely potential for Eco tourism activities, Some attractions you can do there are observing nesting turtles, watching hatching turtles egg in incubation places, release turtle babies to the ocean, bird watching, observation rafflesia flowers, and canoeing. This place can only be accessed using 4WD car as the road is extremly rocky ascending the mountains and passing the rivers, it is really unforgottable moment to feel this experience.
Green bay
Another attractions on the way to this amazing beach you can also visit Green bay beach, called as it is because we can see this beach is green from the distance, it is small white sandy beach surrounded by rock cliff, just like a hidden paradise. You have to get down along the narrow path within the trees for around 30 minutes, passing beach stones and crossing small forest and then you can enjoy this beautiful beach.
Red island
Don’t imagine that it is truely “red island” or anything like red sandy beach but it is a beautiful beach, there is a small mighty rock island in this beach and local peoples called it “Red island”, the beach name refered to this island’s name. It is a long beautiful beach with a good waves for surfing activities but still it sunset attract many tourist to visit it.
